James visits London! (DAY ONE)

We've wanted to go to London for ages and this summer we managed it. Staying with James' Godmother in Redhill, we spent 2 days in London exploring. On the first day, James wanted to see Big Ben, which we did as well as Trafalgar Square, horseguards, Downing Street, Green Park and Buckingham Palace.

We sat on the top deck of a double decker bus, but the stairs were so crowded we couldn't get off! The bus drove on two more stops before we could get out and walk back to where we'd wanted to get out!

In the afternoon, we visited HMS Belfast (which is excellent value and very interesting). as you can see, James lost no time in taking command of the situation!

Merryn in France

We had a great holiday on the West Coast of France, ahead of our move to Oslo. Merryn really enjoyed spending a day in Angouleme, watching a stage of the Tour de France, as well as winning the Maillot Jeune! Here he is resting after an epic 10k bike ride to watch the end of the stage.

James climbs a Volcano!

Well, OK, it was Roughtor on Bodmin Moor actually, but it LOOKED like a Volcano so that's what we decided to call it! We had some great weather (at last) so we went for a picnic at Roughtor.

While James' Mummy had a little sleep in a Bronze Age round house, James, Charlotte and their friend (along with the ever-energetic Bilbo the Dog) climbed to the top of the Tor.

James goes to a film premiere

James joined his sister Charlotte at KYSPA's first birthday film premiere this week. Since there was a spare seat, and James occasionally takes part in KYSPA's activities, he went for a half hour ride in the Limousine.

James enjoyed having a fizzy drink from the fridge in the back!

An evening at Truro Bowl

Because they won't be seeing each other again for a whole year, James and Merryn had a special evening at Truro Bowl. Merryn beat everyone (including the grown ups) with a score of 86!

After bowling, Merryn and James battled it out with a game of air hockey along with James' sister Charlotte. The results were:
